THINGS TO KNOW BEFORE YOUR DAY TRIP TO ALICANTE

- The walk to Castle Santa Barbara is very steep and not very family-friendly. Hop on the lift or on the tourist bus (outside the lift) for a much more comfortable visit.

- Alicante is a safe city, with a low crime level but tourism attracts pickpockets and other scammers. Keep an eye on your belongings, especially around the main attractions.

– Easiest place to park is in the Marina, where you’ll find large underground carparks.

- Remember that Barrio Santa Cruz is more than a tourist attraction, it’s a place where locals work and live…make sure your presence is respectful and don’t take pictures of locals unless they give you permission.
