NEW RULES – Moraira and COVID-19

COVID PASSPORT NOT REQUIRED FROM THE 03/2022 

 
  • CURFEW : No curfews at the moment
  • MASKS : Wearing a mask outside is still highly recommended but it only mandatory in health centers and on public transport (including planes). 
  • MEETINGS : No more limits on private or public meetings
  • TRAVEL BETWEEN REGIONS : Travel will be allowed between Comunidades, unless the region you are traveling to enforces different measures.
  • RESTAURANTS AND BARS : 100% capacity 
  • NIGHTLIFE : reopened normally.

NO ALCOHOL SALES in shops after 22:00

  • SPORTS & CULTURE : all outdoor sports installations will reopen as well as parks and municipal tennis and paddle courts. Gyms etc can open at maximum occupancy as well as cinemas and museums.

TRAVELING FROM AND TO MORAIRA

These are the rules CURRENTLY applied to travel from and to Spain. We are expecting announcements on the restrictions on travel for the summer in the coming days. 

IF YOU ARE AN EU NATIONAL 

If you are an EU citizen,  Spain is allowing you to enter the country, but with proof of vaccination (both doses as a minimum) or a negative test. 

This does no apply to children under 6. This document can be presented in English, German, Spanish or French.

This applies regardless of if you get to Spain by boat, car or plane.

What tests are required to enter Spain ? 

Form Monday 19th of July : IF YOU HAVE RECEIVED YOUR TWO JABS – You won’t have to self-isolate when you return to England. 

 Children under the age of 12 are exempt from the above testing and vaccine requirements but need to have a completed Health Control Form.

Who can and can’t travel to Spain from the UK starting 30th March?

As of the 24th of May, Spain has allowed entry from UK citizens, but the UK government is currently listing Spain as an “amber” destination.

Current UK FCO advice is not to travel to Spain unless your trip is essential. As FCO advice is not to travel, almost all travel insurance policies will be invalid.

IF YOU ARE A NON-EU CITIZEN

  • If you are a non EU citizen from NORWAY, ICELAND, SWITZERLAND and LIECHSTENSTEIN, you can travel to Spain but you will need to present proof of a negative PCR test done less than 72 hours before your trip. This does no apply to children under 6. This document can be presented in English, German, Spanish or French.

This applies regardless of if you get to Spain by boat, car or plane.

  • If you are a NON EU CITIZEN you will only be allowed to travel if your trip is justified ( work, study etc) unless you come from one of the following countries Australia, Canada, Japan, Morocco, New Zealand, Rwanda, South Korea, Thailand, Tunisia, Uruguay and China. Then you don’t need to justify why you are traveling. The same rules of entry will apply to you.

WHERE TO GET A COVID TEST IN MORAIRA ?

If you are experiencing symptoms or have been in contact with someone infected by COVID 19 you can get a test in Moraira. These tests are also mandatory if you are traveling out of the country. 

IMPORTANT INFORMATION : Please make sure to book your appointment in advance if you are traveling in July/August. Local testing facilities are overwhelmed and you could end up with no appointment. Please also take into account that you might be waiting for a long time at the clinic.

Can we use the beach ?

Yes, albeit with certain restrictions : 

1) Only use the designated entrances and exits to access the beach

2) A 4 m distance needs to be maintained between sunbeds and parasols

3) You shouldn’t be sitting less than 4 m from the seashore

4) When playing in the sand or bathing, keep a minimum 1.5m distance

5) Wear a mask if you are walking across the beach

6) Beach sports such as volleyball, beach tennis are not allowed

7) Do not visit the beach if you have any symptoms and use hand gel as often as possible.

 

LIMITED OCCUPANCY ON SOME BEACHES

Some townhalls are limiting occupancy on certain beaches and you might need to book in advance to secure a spot.

I am renting a villa with you, what should I expect ?

 

1) All properties are thoroughly cleaned and disinfected by a professional company between each guests. Textiles and soft furnishings are disinfected with sprays between guests.

2) We provide a bottle of hand gel at every check-in. When we check you in one of our properties, we will be wearing a mask and will ask you to do the same. Only one person is allowed inside the property with our HMR agent to ask questions and formalize the last details of their booking.

3) For stays with linen and towel change, please strip all beds and leave linen and towels in the entrance of your property. The cleaning staff will remove them and leave clean sheets and towels for you, but won’t enter the property.

4) We kindly ask our guests to not leave any food,drinks, rubbish or dirty dishes in the villa when they check-out. Help us protect our cleaning staff and remove any personal or used items from the villa.

5) If you have any symptoms during your stay, please let us know. We can direct you to local health services. Please do not visit a medical center without calling them beforehand.
